A 100 crore defamation case has been slapped by Pooja Misrra, a contestant of Big Boss Season 5 against Sunny Leone in Bombay High Court. Now, since Sunny has defamed her, she demands a sum of 100 crores. It took Pooja Misrra four years to realise that Sunny Leone "defamed" her on Bigg Boss 5! And now that she is up in arms against Sunny, she has slapped a case and demanded 100 crores. We know you don't care. And neither does Sunny. But at least Pooja is back on the trending charts again, and this time NOT for hitting some store/hotel staff!
Justice Naresh Patil, who sat in a division bench, when this matter was called out, stated ‘Adjourned..Beyond vacation’. The petitioner was absent. In Pooja’s petition, she contended that she was quite popular on ‘Bigg Boss 5’ and Sunny entered much later. She made allegations that Sunny gave defamatory interviews in the media section and this was owing to ‘jealousy and malice’ towards her. She also alleged that Sunny damager her reputation in public by having attributed motives against her in a city newspaper’s impugned article. Due to this, Pooja had to withdraw her savings and suffer loss of around 70 lakhs.
Pooja urged the court for issuing a process against Sunny under IPC sections 120 (b) and 500. The hearing of this matter is expected to take place around June 2016.
In short, the story goes like this. Pooja one fine day wakes up and realises that she was a popular contestant on the reality show in 2011. Enter Sunny Leone, imported straight from Canada on the show as a wild card contestant. Pooja gets insecure with Sunny's popularity (no points for guessing!). After the show ends, Sunny goes out and gives defamatory statements against Pooja in the media out of "jealousy". And Pooja after years files a case of defamation in the Bombay High Court. It all sounds so illogical, funny and senseless.
